Application:
- Be sure the lenses of your goggles, shields or glasses are totally dry before applying FOGTECH®. It is always a good idea to start with a clean faceshield, glasses or goggles. So, use your favorite cleaning method and dry well.
- If you are using the packet, tear it open and remove the towelette. You don't need to unfold the towlette. If you are using the FOGTECH® bottle, gently squeeze out enough of this solution to completely wet the supplied applicator. Or just wet a small soft absorbent cloth.
- Quickly wipe the wet cloth on the inside of your lens until it is covered with a thin wet film. Don't keep rubbing as it dries.
- Let the FOGTECH® film dry for one minute.
Immediately test your shield or goggles by breathing on the lenses or shield. If you see some large gaps that are not covered, go over the lens with FOGTECH® again. Seal the applicator back in the reclosable bag or toss the packet and towelette into the trash.
Suggestions:
- Usually you can use the towelette or applicator to coat up to 3 sets of face shields, goggles or glasses. Just continue coating until the applicator gets too dry to leave a film.
- Try not to touch FOGTECH® while it is on your lens as the coating can smear if handled roughly. FOGTECH® will heal itself of minor touches.
- In very dusty environments, your coating may start to pick up a bit of very fine dust. You can use a soft cloth to gently remove this dust. Gently apply the cloth to the lens and wipe across the lens in one direction. If there is too much dust, it is better to wash the shield or goggles and apply a fresh coat of FOGTECH®.
- To completely remove FOGTECH®, just rinse your shield, goggles or glasses in water. FOGTECH® will not leave a residue.
- If you will be riding a motorcycle in the rain, you should leave 1 cm at the top of your shield without a coating of FOGTECH®. This is especially important if your shield leaks at the top. The reason for the gap is because FOGTECH® can pull in small drops of water from the top of the shield.
